Our American kestrel came from the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center where she was part of a toxicology project.
When the project was terminated in March of 2018 Echoes of Nature adopted her, as they could not be released after having been hatched in captivity. She loves to catch skinks and field mice that ventures into her mew. When something catches her attention, you can shift here body and her head stays still. This is a feature that helps them catch songbirds in the wild.
