Archimedes came to Echoes of Nature in 2014 from Owl Moon Raptor Center. He had been found in Rockville after being blown into either a building or a car.
The impact broke his wing and he removed the pin rehabbers placed causing the bone to heal crooked. So he is unable to fly, thus making him non-releasable. Like most screech-owls he has a perpetually indignant look to him! This does not necessarily mean he is unhappy, just that human expressions do not translate well to owls.
