Sophia came to Echoes of Nature in November 2021 from the Prince George’s Animal Shelter, alongside her brother, Albert.

As a young ferret, Sophia was still learning about the world around her, and she quickly adapted to her new life with a lot of curiosity and playfulness. Like many ferrets, she enjoys a good balance of eating, napping, and playing hard—usually in that exact order! Sophia and her brother quickly became part of the family, and we quickly realized just how much energy and personality this little “fur thief” had to offer.

Ferrets are known for their strong instincts and playful nature, and Sophia is no exception. She loves exploring tunnels (her favorites are her octopus and shark tunnels) and carrying around anything she can find that fits her mouth—whether it’s a toy or something slightly less appropriate! While Sophia is always up for a rough-and-tumble play session, she’s been learning that humans are a bit more fragile than her fellow ferrets, and she’s still perfecting her gentle touch when interacting with her caretakers.

Sophia is a fun-loving ferret with a zest for life, and she’s always up for a new adventure. She’s known for her playful antics and sweet nature, and we’re excited to watch her grow into the energetic, little explorer she’s destined to be!
